Something feels off
about that link?

A text from “your bank.” A delivery you weren’t expecting. An offer that seems too good. Take a moment to check the address before you act.

Check a link

Paste the address. Keep the suspicious page closed.

FREE TOOL

Don’t submit passwords, private documents, or account recovery links.

Scan privacy & coverage

Google Web Risk receives the URL without its fragment. Google Public DNS receives the hostname only.

The tool does not publish your link or save a scan history. Redacted findings may be cached for up to five minutes. Scanning services have their own data policies. Site hosting and logging policies also apply.

A scan does not verify business identity, purchases, page content, or the site’s security certificate. A result with no known threats is not a guarantee of safety.

BUILD YOUR CLICK INSTINCT

Three things to pause for.

Even a clean scan deserves a little context.

01

“Act now or lose access.”

Urgency is a common pressure tactic. Contact the organization through an address or phone number you already know.

02

A small fee. A big request.

A delivery or refund message that asks for card details deserves a second look. Check it in the official app.

03

The domain almost matches.

Extra words, a changed letter, or a familiar name inside another domain can hide where a link really goes.

Good questions before you click.

Does “no known threats” mean the link is safe?

No. It means the responding services did not report the threats they check for at the time of the scan. New scams, compromised websites, or dishonest sellers may escape detection.

Can I check a link from a text message?

Yes. Copy the address without opening it, then paste it here. Avoid submitting links that contain passwords, account recovery tokens, or private document access.

Why can a check be incomplete?

A scanning service may be unavailable or reach its allowance. A domain may not resolve, or a provider may not be enabled. Missing information is shown in your result.

What if I already clicked a suspicious link?

Close the page. If you entered a password, change it through the real service and enable multifactor authentication. If you supplied card details, contact your bank through its official app or a known number.
